This is high controversal topic, and I hope I can put it to rest. Doubt it but might as well try.
Now it's no doubt that there is a lot of controversy with Christians and Homosexuals, Pansexuals, Bisexuals, etc. and how it's a stereotype that Christians hate the gay people because the Bible says homosexuality is wrong. Now the Bible does say a man should not sleep with another man and the same goes for a woman sleeping with another woman (aka Sex), but frankly, it says a man and a woman should never sleep together before mariage (aka premarital sex), and the Bible has stated before, Adultry of any kind, sex of any kind that is not of mariage of a man and a woman is a Sin. Lust is one of the 7 deadly sins so the Bible states in a general sense sex that is not used for procreating/after mariage, is bad and is considered a sin when you give your virginity to someone who is not married to you. Does this mean the Bible says to hate gays? NO IT DOES NOT!
Have you forgotten the golden rule guys? "Treat others the way you want to be treated," Remeber that? The Bible says that God loves everyone and Jesus loves everyone, and the Bible says that God wants us to love our neighbors, and love and pray over our enemies as if they were our friends. Why would we be told that gay people or those who generally not heterosexual are exceptions? Especially when it's been repeated several times in the Bible, around 300 times no less! The Bible talks also how we should be imitating God and Jesus, being beacons of light and spreading the Word of God and telling the Goodness that He has brought and will bring.
There is always going to be people who hate gays and gays who hate Christians, but if you think that I'm not the only one who agrees that Gays shouldn't be hated on is the new Pope. Now, I'm not Catholic, but the Pope has said that "If a gay man wishes to be a Christian, why should shouldn't he become one?". The Pope is pretty much okay with gay people who DO want to become Christians or are Christians. I am fine with people who are not heterosexual, and I know quite a few people who are either gay, bisexual, pansexual and even asexual, and I'm not afriad to say that. I even have a cousin who is gay.
I really do hope this helps people realize not all Christians hate gays and the Bible DOES NOT tell us to hate gay people because they are gay.
